Representatives from 29 European NPMs – both EU Member States and non-EU observers – met to discuss the initiative and to share good practices related to reporting, recommendations, and stakeholder engagement. Civil society groups as well as members of the SPT and CPT also participated.
National Preventive Mechanism meets NPMs from across Europe
The Norwegian National Preventive Mechanism (NPM) participated in a conference in Strasbourg on 4-5 April 2017 hosted by the Council of Europe regarding the launch of an EU NPM Network.
